Absurdity...

Called in sick today because I injured my wrist, sprained or pulled a muscle... whatever... I can type and move my fingers but it hurts when I put pressure or lift things. Yes even opening/closing doors.
I heal fast, as long as I get to rest the wrist. It's like having leg cramps, lasts awhile but I'll be fine after a day or two. I'm only asking to be called off tonight since after this shift I'll be back Sunday or Monday night, just enough days to get it back to working condition. I'm not asking to be off for 3 days. I find it absurd to have a MD's note for a day and it's giving me a headache thinking about it.
Seriously that charge nurse has some power issues. I like to rub in her face my doctor's note when I see her next.
