During the time I was watching the episode I have to admit that I forgot that I had a migrane xD! Talk about distraction right? xD
I have been since day 1 (episode 1) been rooting for the blind dates. First of all it's because it's a win or lose situation. 2 people seeking a relationship (or love for that matter) joined the race, it's like a recipe for disaster relationship wise. We all know (TAR fans...) how stressful being on show, and the fact that you're joining the race with someone you don't know and have to learn how to (sorry I forgot the word) be with that person.
The first part of the race is that blind date couple's are kickin' ass, meaning they took most of the top place. You have to admire, for some of them, knowing that they didn't find sparks or whatever they're looking for their blind date or dream person, concentrated on the race. I forgot who said it or from where I read it before, but s/he said that being in a blind date vs couple is to their advantage because since they aren't in a preexisting relationship they don't have anything to lose (except for the million dollars if they lose). For couple's the stakes are higher because after the race their relationship may either blossom or break.
I was a bit disappointed in one team that the other person, knowing yea s/he isn't loosing anything, didn't finish the competition or lost the will or whatever. Ugh, it's the Amazing Race, it's not a dating show, though they did try their hand at it. It was more of like a social experiment in the side in my opinion.
I want to congratulate again, TeamSoCal Laura and Tyler for wining the race (And would still say they look good together). It was a close call with Jenny and Jelani, since their taxi driver didn't know where to go.
I also have to congratulate Hayley and Blair, Blair especially. Sorry, Hayley's nonstop nagging and complaints got into me, and Blair had such patience for that. I hope Hayley isn't like that at work, I don't want a nurse who talks too much when I want most of the time to rest. (Well that's just me). Karma got Hayley in the end, before she's all "You don't listen to me, blah, blah." So when Blair just looked like he had it, he just made her do all the decisions, she's like "We're a team, blah blah, make decision, blah blah" Oh so now you want him to make decisions... Blair needs a big pat in the back and a keg of beer being able to stand the nagging/complaints during the race.
