As a nurse, one aside from knowing your stuff and being caring, you need a LOT of patience. You will have patients who aren't being patient either and are always needy and demanding, and they do know you have other patients that need your care and attention too.

I'm crazy...
I thought a 3 continuous shift was crazy enough, this time I did 4shifts straight. My legs still has to recuperate. I know some does more like having 2 jobs, working straight days but it's really taxing to the body and mind.
I'm just a regular folk not a superhero or have massive amount of energy. I really admire those who work like that and get sometimes not enough pay to survive.
That aside I'm happy my boxes arrive to help with charge up my dwindling energy.

Hopefully things go well...
Last weekend I started my regular scheduled work with the skilled nursing side (SNF) of our facility. No more random schedules and being stuffed here and there. I'll miss the sub acute side though, things are much easier since we have a supervisor and don't have a lot to worry about while on duty. Since they're a for profit company, they only have 2 nurses on the floor on the snf, and one of the is the supervisor. Gah! Also they'll just accept any patients as long as they can pay. /wrist
IMHO they need 3 nurses and 4 CNAs with the current census they have but no, they're like "fuck you nurses deal with it" I am slowly getting discouraged with the way things are, I guess I'm just too idealistic sometimes. Either I'm not right for this job or the facility isn't the kind of work environment I should be in. Yet again, I am on a job hunt, hopefully find the place I would thrive in.
The past few days I've been thinking if this was the right profession for me, or I would rather have a 9 to 5 job, go home and not think about it and just relax. It's very tempting. But I'm not getting any younger thinking about these stuff.
*sighs* nothing motivates me now ): I feel numb and dead...
