Book peeves

So again from the previous post about Kindle Unlimited and Nook. I don't know how the Kindle works but I'm guessing at least the author gets something from their books being borrowed, but buying it outright ebook or paperback I guess they get more from it (???), maybe.
Anyway one of the few things I like about the ebook borrowing from Kindle is connected to my pet peeve regarding how the story is written.
For those who do read, you know that there are different types or something like that on how the author write the story. I'm not really a fan of the his or her view type where the character narrates the whole chapter. It kinda annoys me at times so knowing that the book is written that way I don't waste money and just return/don't read the book at all.
Sometimes (or maybe most of the times) I don't really like simpering heroines... they don't sound much of a heroines to me but useless characters xD! I don't mind damsels in distress but not weak and stupid. X.x that after reading 1 or 2 chapters, if ever I do have the paperback I would return it. Thankfully some ebooks offer the first chapters to read.
Ah and because my thought are disorganized atm I'll jump to the fact that because of the books I'm ruined to any man hahaha!!!
Yes I know they're just books but it makes me sad that they're not real and if ever there are men like them... zomgah where are they hiding?
With that I go start reading again xD

Pocketbook addict

I really started young, maybe around 9 or 10 years old. I remember a bit that I started with Sweet Valley Kids, then High, then Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, R.L Stine's books (which for a kid is effin' creeptastic) and from there romance novels (which is bad considering I was a teen hahaha!!!)
I never get tired of reading them, maybe one story is the same from another author but still engaging for me the same.
I've read thousands already, seriously my Nook alone mostly have a thousand already and that doesn't include the ones I've bought and borrowed through the years.
One of the few regrets I have is that when I was still in high school I've read this book probably published during the 90's by Diamond Publishing ( os something like that). It's a series, much like Sweet Valley about school life of girls in a dormitory. My school library had 2 or 3 of the books but sadly not all of them. I want to finish the series but again it was years ago, I don't remember the title just the premise of the series, I tried googling the company (sadly again...) it was already closed and not a lot of information is available through it. Sadly, sadly, sadly not a super detective like Drew and the Hardy bros.
Anywho, I have most probably abused Nook in a way that I have been spending too much per month. The stupid me didn't acknowledge that it's competitor Amazon Kindle had introduced their unlimited books for 10 buckaroo per month... ugh that's waaaaaay less than what I spend.
I'll talk about support and pet peeves maybe in my next post if I remember but for now I'm feeling happy... elated... and much more xD that I could afford my addiction to books. Hey :P at least it's not drugs or some other vice xD

On getting sick

I don't get sick often, not rare but uncommon. The most would be a cough then would go away in a few days, 3 at most. Unfortunately for me, this time around my defense was down.
At first it started with my sister coughing around, then my mom but after that has passed I got scotch free. A few weeks later I started to get the cough but before it gets worse I took prevention like drinking more Vitamin C and stuff. During this time I'm still working as it's not bad. But after I went home after a shift my body just crashed. I'm not having any fever because I've been drinking Tylenol for body aches but I'm basically coughing weirdly (whistling cough), having shortness of breath, and literally puking phlegm  (yes it is gross).
Sadly getting an appointment with my primary would take weeks so I went to a clinic.
I tried not to laugh my ass off because I was coughing up a storm. Hacking whistling coughs non-stop. When the doctor came in she was wearing a N95 mask. (Usually used for TB patients). I'm like wtf... but then when the doctor heard me up close and not through doors that's when she noticed my weird coughing and after some assessments diagnosed me with Bronchitis.
I'm not surprised since this isn't my first time with it. I already figured it out when the puking started. Almost every 2-3 years I'll have an attack like this though this. Though when it does it's not very kind. And I have multiple embarrassing incidents because of it. This time around I hid so I'm safe.
For those who aren't familiar with Bronchitis, I'll save you the googling. It's when bronchioles are inflamed, closing up with phlegm and coughs, sometimes accompanied by an infection. Majority is viral so antibiotics won't do shit.
So my doctor gave me an inhaler, Zomgah I almost cried because I kid you not, I really can't breathe like I'm drowning. And just in case to cover that minority, prescribed me an antibiotic. Plus I can continue my Tylenol Cold Max and Vit C supplement.
So far my disease experience this time around...
- The feeling of drowning without being underwater
- coughing up a storm to scare the shit out of my parents
- feeling like a rooster waking up everyone at 3-4 am, coughing up for at least 30 mins (I'm not joking, thankfully that stopped yesterday)
- Used up 18 boxes of tissue, no I'm not taking about those small boxes, and still counting. When I say puking, I really am.
- As much as I want to run to the sink, coughing/puking every 5 mins, add the fact that I'm having shortness of breathe plus feeling weak. It's the best alternative for me. Really weak that I had to wrestle the cover off a box
- Having to change the waste basket lining up to 3 times per day, and that includes me already stuffing/pushing in the trash more
- Covered up in vaporub and sweat, being unable to shower properly because I can't catch a chill or the fits will start
- The fits will also start with any irritants, I had to hold and cover when opening the corrugated side of the tissue box and sometimes my throat feels like there's dust in the water... oh ugh even the tissue, I get no escape. The little, tiniest, insy wincy specks of paper
- I'm also puking food with so much pressure when I cough
- poor appetite, my sugar's whacked  (I am diabetic)
- sleep deprived
- missed days of work which means I don't get paid

There's more that I probably missed but as usual I am already blabbering.
I am being shown no mercy and hopefully I get better soon. I have missed taking care of myself, my face is hairy.
In a weird coincidence, every time someone calls me I'm in the middle of a coughing fit

Another road block or a bump

I guess when the time that you don't feel like going to work, that is the time you try to find a new one. I love doing what I'm doing but my current one leaves me battered both physically and mentally, and leaves my patience glass to always empty every shift. Some can handle this but I'm feeling like jumping to something else less demanding.
They kept telling me I'm young but I feel ancient. No motivation to work, not counting the fact that almost everyone needs a paycheck.
I still have a contract with my work ): sadly a couple more months... Hopefully I got a transfer soon...

Left or Right?

Since I'm right handed, doing things with my left hand is a bit work for my brain and challening. I had to constantly remind ( and the slight discomfort with the right) my self to use left.
2/5 of my siblings are left handed, 3/5 right and 2/3 are ambidextrous, then we have weird quirks.
Eldest son is mostly left, too left handed it's challenging for him to drive, but if he concentrate he does write using his right. Second son, is right handed but he dribbles with left during basketball games. Third son is right handed but he's the other ambidextrous, doesn't need to concentrate or anything, and holds 2 pens, one on each hand. Came in handy since we grew up without the aide of laptops at school. When his right hand is tired taking notes, he'll just switch. (Jelly!!! Our teachers and professors loves to make us write tons of stuff)
Eldest daughter is right, but tends to lean on the left. Second daughter is left handed, and too left handed too. Didn't learn how to write with her right.
Why some of my brothers are ambi, is because of how they were raised. My aunt would make them us their right hand because it's "not normal". Since sister is the youngest by a chunk of years, she didn't experience much of being raised by our aunt and even though my Mom kept denying it, we know she was and still is spoiled.
Right now, I envy my third brother. With my injury things I normally do well are slower and doesn't inflict pain.
[So much left and right, I reached my quota. Haha]

SYTYCD Stage Vs Street

It's already the top 6, and yes I have been lazy lately with my postings. As you have noticed... well I don't really see visitors here so lmao!
Anyway... wow really I am impressed with Team Street. In my honest opinion, they have more talented folks vs team stage. More than half!!! I mean x.x well... *coughs* to be blunt, the Bboys are good with their style but TT_TT I'm sorry. Groot's seems more flexible than them.
Really impressed with their growth and seriously the top 4 team street, so hard to pick. It now all depends on how they can lure people to vote for them. And sadly (seems to be an over used word for me lol) Neptune got eliminated, but I feel that he caught the eye of some directors and/or choreographers already.
Team Stage wise, again this is just my opinion, you can have violent reactions somewhere or spam my comments below (thanks for the traffic). My top 4 were Hailee, Gaby, Jim and Edson. Sadly Edson got eliminated a bit earlier and Derek was saved. But with the last episode, Derek was in the bottom 2 against Hailee. Seriously, I thought he's going to have more votes than Hailee who is really very super duper impressive. I have yet to see her dance a traditional ballroom style since she did salsa before.
For me, throw in the ballroom dance styles, traditional or latin, some of the dancers get lost xD
Oh boy, the past voting was tough. The remaining 6 dances are all on my top list Q.Q didn't know how to vote...

SYTYCD Stage vs Street Ep 1

So after all the auditions to vegas, the top 20 were finally announced. Sadly before the first episode aired, Hurricane from team street got injured and Asaf the bboy Hebrew or something like that took over his spot. I am writing this while watching so I'll most probably butcher some names.
Opening routine by Christopher Scott and jessicalee keller was awesome, coming from the Step Up Movie this seems like his thing lol!
First routine, Team Street. JJ, Neptune and Megz tackle a Dave Scott routine. For the first performance it lacks some oomph and Megs weakness regarding choreography is showing. Jj shines in this routine, the other two better step up.
Next team stage tackles stacy tookey routine with Moises, Derek, Gabby
The piece looks etheral comparing to the previous group theirs is more collective than individual but still shows their strength and hell I'm no pro but such beautiful lines. And wow Gabby's a tapper : P
Christopher Scott now for Team Street Jaja, Burim, Lily and Asaf, four individuals who grew up in different countries and four different styles!!! Damn Jaja got some abs putting some of the guys to shame hahaha!! Routine was it was amazing. Shows everyone's strengths, individuality and moved as a group. In thought Asaf would bring his group down but he pulled through. As we've seen in the Vegas round he really had a hard time with choreography. But for me the girls took it.
Team Stage's Hailee, Marissa ansd Alexa tackles Jazz with Brian Friedman. Heels, chairs and coats. Hailee's really strong on this routine and on point with the choreographer's vision. Alexa still looked a bit uncomfortable and Marissa kinda too much. Reminded me of Goldilocks xD. And kudos with the heels, it isn't easy but dang Brian worked it hahaha!
Team Stage again with the two cavaliers! Jim and Darion are in the hands of Benoit Swan Pouffer.  Just watching just the it really looks like it's one of the toughest routine for this episode and maybe for awhile to be thrown like this at their first episode. Freaking ./tableflip if they get voted off next week! It was an awesome routine but between the two, Jim shows maturity and control with his pirouettes/spins and just his movement looks serene and effortness. Darion has more of energy with his, strength and childlike.
Team Street welcomes back Pharside and Phoenix with Virgil, Ariana and Yorelis. Intricate movements again the ladies are killing it. Performance wise it was average for me, Team Street where are the boyz?!
Edson and Kate, Team Stage gets their team captain Travis Wall for this routine. It was a strong for the first episode but I agree with Nigel. I got lost with their facial expressions. Is it a happy dance? And wow again I agree with Paula, there is a chemistry void. A strong performance technical wise but there is a disengagement with the routine.
Team Stage group performance went with broadway routine with Warren Carlisle. Sexy but not overly. And wth did Moises just tapped?! The routine showed some weak individuals if one notices and the strong ones. For those voting for Team Stage, do you have it?
Aammmmmgggg NappyTabs tackles the Team Street group routine.  Excited for the Squad working with one of my fave choreographers. Strong and amazing performance. The whacker is krumping... the bboys are... dancing?! Again one sees the strong and weak contenders. And they ain't the girls...

Overall both teams showed equally good and not so bad performances. Team Stage with their technical abilities, you can't deny the majority of them are awesome at what they do. But what they are like is the chemistry doing a routine with a group or partner, showing emotions, making the audience not only see but have an emotional connection with the routine and audience rapport.
What Team Stage lacks is the opposite for Team Street. When they perform they have this connection with the audience that makes us wants to join or cheer for them. They could do group routines, and play with their partner. Gets their energy from the audience, but then most of them falls short or gets lost when a choreography gets thrown in. Most of them are freestylers, but that's one of the big challenges they have to face...
This is pretty much the "easy" episode for them because they are dancing their styles. Next week they'll be thrown out of their equilibrium dancing new genres or styles , and for some battling choreography too. For me that's when the competition starts. Can't wait for the next episode.

On a side note... still not 100% convinced with the judges... x.x hopefully they do invite someone as a 4th judge... please x.x

SYTYCD Stage VS Street Part 2: New Format

I talk/type too much at times, and just have to put my take on the new format.
So unlike with the past seasons, they changed the format this season (I guess to shake things up) to Stage VS Street dancing. Styles like ballroom, contemporary, tap, jazz and other with formal training will be categorized as stage They're going head to head against Street which includes a variety of street dances from hiphop, krumping, breakdancing, and etc.
10 from each will be chosen for the top 20 and each will be lead by an all-star from previous season. Travis Wall will lead the Team Stage, while Twitch will lead Team Street.
This format as far as I've been reading on some site were I guess not happily accepted? Well it's either that or they just don't like change. For me, let's see how this one goes first because I do find a couple of pros and cons on this.
As we all know from the past season, they take at least one of the best dancer in that specific style to make it more diverse. Ballet, ballroom, hiphop, jazz, contemporary, tap, etc. And as you have noticed, the stage side is dominating most of the slots in the top 20.
With the new format, what they used to pick as 15~18 spots for Stage dancers, the competition between them will be more fierce as the spots for them to be filled up is a little less halved than what it used to be. So far with the auditions from Dallas, Memphis, Detroit and Los Angeles, there's really a lot of very talented stage dancers. Though most of those I've seen are ballroom and contemporary.
Good news in a way for the Street styled dancers because of what we used to see in the past seasons of having 5 or less ( I guess xD), they have now a higher chance to get into the top 20 because there are more spots offered to them. It's an opportunity for them to showcase their style of dance to more people, and let it be known. And not just introduced to us from a music video. xD! They've also been given the chance to go further because during the Vegas week, they'll only be introduced to choreographies similar to their dance style. BUT that's where I would guess most of them will be stunned, stumped and challenged. They have several challenges on this competition and right off the bat is choreography. Most of them dance freestyle, depending on the person, s/he may/may not put up with the challenge. Those who have tried before got into Vegas again has an advantage in a way because they've experienced it. And another, is maybe partnering. They dance on their own, doing their own thing, being paired with someone may throw some of them out of their comfort zone. The two maybe the main challenges street will encounter and many more I would guess.
With the past format, 10 guys and girl s are chosen to fill the spots for 20, and every week a couple is voted out. I don't know if they're going 5 guys and girls from each or just 10/10, and one from each will be voted off.
There's still the NY auditions and Vegas week, ( I think) before we all see how the format changed the formal competition. Still watching the series since i haven't really felt the change during audition, maybe well see more during vegas week and the formal competition.

SYTYCD Stage VS Street Part 1: Semi New Judges... they hired who?!? WTF?!?

Either I forgot or someone cancelled my recording of SYTCYD first episode but I'm surprised with the format they introduced this season. Reminds me of Step up: The Street. (Which I haven't seen yet.) Regarding their panel of judges, they have a permanent judging panel consisting of Nigel Lythgoe, Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo. Yes, I find it really REALLY sad, that I won't be seeing Mary Murphy in the judging panel. I won't miss the screaming, it always makes me cringe but the fact that she's really a good judge and knows what to critique.
Nigel as we all know have been there since the beginning and yes maybe for some he doesn't look like it but over the years he knows his stuff. What is good and what is not. Though being in the business aspect of things, and entertainment value, I would guess, he has an eye for not just the talent but from what this person can bring on the stage. There are a lot of talented folks out there with super great techniques, but as we have seen with the competition, their lack of luster in personality, in connection with the audience, how in tune are they in the performance and the list goes on, makes them lose the people's votes.
Paula Abdul, well truth to be known I'm not really confident in her judging abilities. Yes she is a famous personality who judges in several reality singing/dancing competitions but I don't know. It's really hard explain, just look at the talents she chose in the past, more miss than hit. This is a really diverse dancing competition, I admit that I don't know how far her knowledge of the different style goes but so far... Jason knows more than her. Not that I'm comparing but her roles seems to that way, Mary's used to balance with Nigel's way of choosing his talents and I'm guessing they're using her that way but like I said up there, her judging skills for me is blech. So far there are so much negative posts I've read regarding Paula replacing Mary, and it seems like if she doesn't pull through, chances are the show might get less viewers as opposed to more.
Jason Derulo is the third permanent judge, though the third seat is always random as far as I know during the past seasons. As a guest judge, he didn't really make an impact on me. Maybe he knows some of his stuff, but judging in a very diverse dancing competition like this, my belief or confidence on him is on the "eh what were they thinking". So far the past 3 audition episodes, he's quiet but he feels kind of lost in some of the style, but the style he's familiar with he voices out his opinion.
I hope regarding the judging panel that during the show they would invite someone who is knowledgeable, trained or experienced to help them judge because if it's left up to them 3, this show is going down. Thankfully knowing that during the audition and Vegas week choreographers shares their opinion on each individual who goes into the top 20. Well hopefully they kept that part with the new format because really no fair if these 3 are the only ones who's going to chose the top 20... I have no more words.

Master Chef S6 E1 to E5

So after 5 episodes, I'm still happy that it's back. I mean the Juniors are awesome but the thrill and drama's on this version.
They didn't show the auditions as with the past seasons. But wow first episode claws are coming out so is erm... their unique personalities.
Welcome the new judge Christina Tosi as Joe steps down from the MCUS panel, I think he's still a judge on one of the franchise. Ms Tosi is a pastry chef and co-owner of Momofuku Milk Bar. I think that adding an odd one out balances the judging panel. Both Graham Elliot and Gordon are chefs but Joe being the odd one out is a restauranteur who's on the business side of things, tho he knows his stuff. This time Christina comes from, let's admit, the side that's been deemed stereotyped to. Just because there pastry chef they don't now how to cook except bake and make desserts. I hope she proves people wrong. So far her personality is showing to be sweet  (lol compared to Gordon) but the past episode she's showing a bit of her claws xD
First of the bat, 20 homecooks thought that, well they're in the top 20 now to compete. But as we all know these shows will try to throw in something to make it more challenging and get more viewers  (haha). So they got another 20 home cooks to vie for the top spots. A pair, or a couple depending on their style of cooking were made to compete at each other. Baker vs baker, chicken dish vs chicken dish and so on. In the end the judges chose 22 to compete. I was actually rooting for Taylor vs Katrina battle. For one I didn't like Katrina's attitude. Crying, frustrated look just annoys the hell outta me. Taylor for me is someone who still have the potential to learn and grow more. Have that confidence, drive and humble attitude to go further. Aside from the fact that if you push him he's going to push back harder and kick someone's ass. Sadly at the all or nothing battle to the top 22 he lost to Stephen and Shelly.
From then to the lastest episode 5, 4 from the top 22 have been eliminated. Double elimination from the top 22, Briana and Mateo got eliminated.
Highlights not so much for me but damn personalities really makes a difference here. Rocker Derrick really got that suave angst thing going on but he's overconfident and hopefully it doesn't kick him in the ass later on. Farmer Stephen is someone I disliked after being an ass. At first knowing what he does, I'm like much respect but after showing America how much of a potty mouth and an ass he is, I'm like wtf k bye. He also reminds me of a Bipolar in a manic stage. Christopher, the Asian guy has some issues too. He's always on the defense, to the point that it's way out of the line and totally embarrassing. Tommy (sorry it's obvious and if I'm offending anybody) gay and fabulous, please tone down the bitchy attitude.
First team challenge for the top 20, Kerry and Darah became team captain chosen by the judges. Each team have to prepare a burger and fish and chips where they have to serve theme park visitors (Knotts Berry Farm). There weren't any much vote of confidence with Kerry vs Darah due to his HR ofc background, but from what I've seen on this episode he did much better than Darah (theme park employee).
Kerry's red team was able to plan and delegate quickly so they can start their prep. While Darah's blue team struggled with her laissez-faire leadership.
To quickly shorten this one, Kerry's team struggled with the demand but was able to pull through. Kudos to Nick for stepping up.
Darah's team with her weak leadership skills and weak team skills x.x whom I've seen cheering... CHEERING!!! her team on... wtf, gurl do some work, chop or prep something, you're personality's not helping at this moment. They struggle because nobody's helping poor (I'm being sarcastic here too at the same time) Katrina. Ask... for... help... Tommy isn't helping either, running his mouth instead of helping to speed things up. Kudos to Claudia for stepping up for this team and Derrick for also pulling through.
Even though the cheeseburger got more cheers than red's burger, knowing how much of a train wreck blue team is. My guess was right with the red team winning.
Elimination challenge was cringe worthy. Darah made me hate her. Really saving the asses of mates that aren't deserving to be saved for half of your votes? Not saving Derrick and Katrina? Girl's blind. The personality of the ones she chose didn't help them to win. Why? Production was slow, they missed more plates. And from the people who got interviewed, clearly they loved their burger version and their beer batter. The only good decision she did was not saving herself. In the end she lost the cinnamon challenge and was eliminated.
My viewpoint with team challenges with group this big, get an assistant or second in command. It's a team challenge, do things that'll save your team from elimination not lead them into it. If your second in command see something you don't that person can delegate or step in to that role. Communication from front to back. What happened to Katrina was that she has the tendency to shut down especially when pressured and/or stressed.
Nick, Claudia and Derrick did well as they stepped up, and did their best to save their team. They we're speaking up, but sadly for the blue team it was going into deaf ears.
(Like I said these are my views, I only have an inkling for stressful situations but not with their particular dilemma)

This latest episode crabs were the mystery challenge. And is indeed a challenge for Hetal whose a vegetarian. I for one don't know how to cook or even know how to eat crab properly thus I'll usually opt for the crab cakes lol. 1/3 I guess with most chose to go that route and it looks really delish. Jesse, so far someone whom I have not noticed since this latest episode made noise with his crab pot sticker (sorry i forgot) soup and won this round. As per usual he got advantages and one of them is not cooking from the elimination. Which (duh) saves him to the next episode.
Quite dramatic on how they revealed the star ingredient for the elimination challenge which turns  out to be corn. Jesse's other advantage is to pick for the other remaining contestants on how they will prepare this start ingredient. The option is between sweet and savory. Jesse  picked savory for the strong competitors in which Gordon noted that these competitors might overthink what they have to prepare on the other hand Jesse chose sweet for the weak competitors in which he hoped to weed them out.
In this challenge Stephen and Shelly won and would lead the next team challenge. While Justin, in my opinion let his anger pull him down. He let Jesse's mind play got to him.
Seriously this shit is going better lol! Can't wait for the next episode.

Master Chef Season 6 Premiere

Catching up again as usual but damn was so excited. As soon as I got home, I turned on the tv and got the recorder play the show.
First, I'm going to miss Joe and well miss his sassiness (haha yea) and his battling ego with the Graham and Gordon
During the top 20 vs top 20 (Can't they just say top 40? X.x), same style/main ingredient, there were some during the battle that I wanted to win on how their dish looks but since I can't exactly taste their food... and well their personalities hahaha!!
Just that battle between the bakers/desserts, I opted for Jill. And the last 20 vs 20 battle, I went for Shelley.
And for some reason or another I feel like I'm just repeating something but if you joined a competition as stressful as this and you're going to black out and answer something like "...should be there, ... maybe with," like you don't know what's in your food. I'm scared. That battle, I wanted Taylor to win because he had the talent, confidence, drive and strength. Not referring to him being am athlete but his competition during the battle, I don't think she'll last and would prolly crumble from the stress. I guess it's not his time yet, still young, still have a lot to learn but that's be saying some typical bullshit he should try again and get into that top 20.
Thankfully from the bottom 20, the judges picked 6 deserving ones to go at it again. But argh!!! They'll only chose 2!!
Anyway at least one of those 3 I mentioned got into the top 22, Shelley the single mom and Stephen the home gardner... who really looks like David Cross' lost brother. They maybe related *shocked!!!* Hey last season I didn't know that Leslie and Melissa Joan Hart are related.
Well, can't wait for the next episode since my Amazing Race season 26 ended already.
Amd woohoo on top of that *squeals.. ugh pig!* So You Can Think You Can Dance is back back back!!!
Just a side note on this long long post. Sad that Chelsea Hightower isn't in DWTS and no explanation why... at least my fave Cheryl gave a reason. Chelsea just disappeared...

The Amazing Race Season 26 Finale!!!

During the time I was watching the episode I have to admit that I forgot that I had a migrane xD! Talk about distraction right? xD
I have been since day 1 (episode 1) been rooting for the blind dates. First of all it's because it's a win or lose situation. 2 people seeking a relationship (or love for that matter) joined the race, it's like a recipe for disaster relationship wise. We all know (TAR fans...) how stressful being on show, and the fact that you're joining the race with someone you don't know and have to learn how to (sorry I forgot the word) be with that person.
The first part of the race is that blind date couple's are kickin' ass, meaning they took most of the top place. You have to admire, for some of them, knowing that they didn't find sparks or whatever they're looking for their blind date or dream person, concentrated on the race. I forgot who said it or from where I read it before, but s/he said that being in a blind date vs couple is to their advantage because since they aren't in a preexisting relationship they don't have anything to lose (except for the million dollars if they lose). For couple's the stakes are higher because after the race their relationship may either blossom or break.
I was a bit disappointed in one team that the other person, knowing yea s/he isn't loosing anything, didn't finish the competition or lost the will or whatever. Ugh, it's the Amazing Race, it's not a dating show, though they did try their hand at it. It was more of like a social experiment in the side in my opinion.
I want to congratulate again, TeamSoCal Laura and Tyler for wining the race (And would still say they look good together). It was a close call with Jenny and Jelani, since their taxi driver didn't know where to go.
I also have to congratulate Hayley and Blair, Blair especially. Sorry, Hayley's nonstop nagging and complaints got into me, and Blair had such patience for that. I hope Hayley isn't like that at work, I don't want a nurse who talks too much when I want most of the time to rest. (Well that's just me). Karma got Hayley in the end, before she's all "You don't listen to me, blah, blah." So when Blair just looked like he had it, he just made her do all the decisions, she's like "We're a team, blah blah, make decision, blah blah" Oh so now you want him to make decisions... Caught up

My work isn't the typical 9 to 5 work time so I miss a lot of the shows I like.
I caught up with The Amazing Race and can't wait for this Friday's finale. I am rooting for the Surfers and the Candy Girls to win the race. The Surfers gives this positive vibes, that I for one would like in my life. I don't see that they fight much and notice that they understand each other. Really just a good feeling and I really hope that they'd be together ufor a long long time. Bethany's already pretty impressive, being able to adapt with her environment. She climbed, did puzzles, crossed a very shakey bridge and etc. with only an arm most of us will either whine and or give up. The Candy Girls, well they're my nerds. And Maya is just a ball of energy, she's somewhat related to the Powerpuff girls. Usually, the East Coast see the result first I would be camping Twitter to see who won.
Now this one won't be a spoiler since the finale been aired a couple of days ago. I really like watching Junior MasterChef well because its a show with a bunch of impressive kids who can cook beyond their years. The final two is between Logan and Samuel. The latter is known for his upscale and sophisticated menu well the other in my opinion is not only adventurous in the kitchen but his menu relates with the masses. I was surprised who won the competition. Logan is it usually the front runner but has been upping his game and slowly rising to the top.  while Samuel has been at the top most of the time .  during the cook off they both showed skills , complicated techniques don't you usually see kids their age do, such imaginations and brave souls to take such risks. Knowing a bit you can guess that Samuel has the probability on his side. But then it was really impressive that Logan won. What I think that made Logan successful was that he didn't overthink his menu and stick to what he knows. Yes he did some risks but it's paid off. He's branzino didn't look appealing to me but once it was opened you can see how moist the fish was and it became mouth watering to me then. Samuel's menu looked appealing but wasn't much impressed except for the Panna cotta. Congrats to Logan. I hope all the kids on that show continue their culinary dreams.
The one I got really excited about the Sing off but was sad to learn that it was only for one night, I cried. One thing I  like about the show is you see the progress of the groups as the show goes along. Of course the first is to impress, but you see more of their differences and style and see who have the chance to succeed. And of  course the eargasm and ear bleed along the way. I was really impressed with SanFran6 and The Exchange. I have a inkling that if the show continues they have a higher probability to win, but congrats to the Mealdores. To be the first collegiate acapella group to win.

Need Ativan

Still feeling restless after last shift's experience. I have to admit I panicked because I don't know what the hell to do. Some said it happened to them before and it's a normal occurrence,  well yeah happened to me the first time so yeah.
Experienced checked. I have to be more vigilant than ever.  Have to add to the fact that one pt was also acting up, two of us on the floor are both new, I'm only ahead of him by 3 months. And like I said before, not enough shadowing training with an experienced nurse.
So tired and stressed out. I guess people care but what happened, happened. They're thankful not on their shift and life goes on.
I'm really thinking, should I continue working like this?

Hopefully things go well...

Last weekend I started my regular scheduled work with the skilled nursing side (SNF) of our facility.  No more random schedules and being stuffed here and there.  I'll miss the sub acute side though,  things are much easier since we have a supervisor and don't have a lot to worry about while on duty. Since they're a for profit company,  they only have 2 nurses on the floor on the snf, and one of the is the supervisor. Gah! Also they'll just accept any patients as long as they can pay.  /wrist
IMHO they need 3 nurses and 4 CNAs with the current census they have but no, they're like "fuck you nurses deal with it" I am slowly getting discouraged with the way things are, I guess I'm just too idealistic sometimes. Either I'm not right for this job or the facility isn't the kind of work environment I should be in. Yet again, I am on a job hunt, hopefully find the place I would thrive in.
The past few days I've been thinking if this was the right profession for me,  or I would rather have a 9 to 5 job, go home and not think about it and just relax. It's very tempting. But I'm not getting any younger thinking about these stuff.
*sighs* nothing motivates me now ): I feel numb and dead...
